What I find in my own life is that progress is not linear.

For example, my sleeping pattern is completely messed up, which would perhaps be considered regression.

However, in some ways, I am doing better than ever – such as by understanding my true values and motivations.

I have noticed that progress waxes and wanes in cycles of expansion and contraction.

However, some people seem to make the expansion phases heavily outweigh the contraction phases.
