About
Thomas Burnside
Counsellor
In my teens and twenty-something years I had social anxiety so bad that I had a few psychotic episodes and they sent me to St Vincents hospital.
For about 7 years the team at the outpatient clinic helped me. Particularly the consultant psychiatrist and the psychologist.
With their help I’m now 34 and run a business made up of 3 active meetup groups in Melbourne where I meet about 100 people every week and provide them with belonging and something fun to look forward to on the weekend:
I am building an online training organisation called PsychUni.com which is intended to be global in scope.
I feel blessed to have had the help of mental health professionals so I could be well. That’s why I am dedicated to helping people with their mental health too – as a counsellor and psychology student.
